Dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant – Gateshead

Protocol Education is seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with complex additional needs at a specialist SEN school in Gateshead.

You’ll be responsible for

  • Delivering high-quality, personalised support.
  • Following EHCP targets and adapting activities where required.
  • Encouraging independence and confidence.
  • Supporting emotional regulation and communication.
  • Liaising with teachers and other professionals to ensure consistent support.

To succeed in this role you’ll have

  • Experience working within SEND settings (preferred).
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience.
  • Excellent organisational and observation skills.
  • A positive, child-centred approach.
