Many students have experienced trauma, adverse childhood experiences, or are at risk of exclusion.
What your day will look like:
- Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups
- Using de‑escalation and behaviour strategies
- Helping students regulate emotions and re‑engage with learning
- Building trust with young people who may struggle with authority
- Working alongside teachers, pastoral teams and safeguarding leads
Your understanding of behaviour, risk factors and social systems won’t sit in a textbook here. You’ll see it play out in real time, and you’ll learn how to respond professionally and calmly.
