We're working with a specialist alternative provision in Gateshead that's looking for dedicated Behaviour Support Teaching Assistants to join the team this September.
The setting supports secondary-aged pupils who have experienced barriers to mainstream education, including SEMH needs, behavioural challenges and additional learning needs, using a trauma-informed and relationship-based approach.

- Working alongside teachers, pastoral staff and external professionals
- Encouraging confidence, resilience and independence every day

- Have experience working with children, young people or vulnerable adults
- Have a calm, resilient and positive approach
- Understand that behaviour is communication
- Enjoy building strong, consistent relationships
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to obtain one
- Are available to work full‑time from September
