Job Title: Fully Qualified Maths Teacher

Location: East of England, Essex, Southend-on-Sea

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: £31650 – £41333 per annum

Job Description

Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons to students
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing feedback and support as needed
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and teaching strategies
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in Mathematics or related field
  • Experience teaching Maths at the secondary level

Education:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor\’s degree in Mathematics or related field
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent

Experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience teaching Maths at the secondary level
  • Demonstrated track record of student achievement and progress

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of the Maths curriculum and teaching methods
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Effective classroom management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional certifications or training in Maths education
  • Experience with exam preparation and assessment
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position with regular school hours
  • Classroom-based teaching with some administrative responsibilities
