Are you a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking for flexible daily supply work within welcoming mainstream primary schools? Protocol Education are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to support children across mainstream primary schools in Barking & Dagenham. We are looking for caring, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals who are passionate about helping children reach their full potential.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside class teachers and school staff to provide tailored support to pupils with additional needs, helping them access learning, develop confidence and thrive within a mainstream classroom environment.

The role will involve:

  • Supporting pupils with a range of SEN needs, including Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and social, emotional and behavioural needs
  • Providing 1:1 and small group support within the classroom
  • Helping pupils engage with lessons, activities and classroom routines
  • Working closely with teachers and the SENCO to support individual learning plans
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and positive learning behaviours

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN (essential)
  • Experience working within a primary school setting
  • A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach
  • The ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
  • A Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential
