Protocol Education are recruiting for an Occupational Therapy Graduate to join a school in Ferryhill, supporting children with SEND.

You'll be part of a supportive school environment where you'll help pupils develop their confidence, independence and practical skills — while gaining valuable experience that can support your future OT career.

Your day could include...

• Supporting children with autism, ADHD and sensory processing needs
• Helping pupils develop fine motor skills and coordination
• Using sensory activities and strategies to help pupils regulate
• Encouraging children to become more independent in everyday classroom activities
• Supporting pupils with physical and additional needs
• Working alongside teachers and SEND professionals
• Adapting activities to suit individual children's needs
• Celebrating the small wins — because sometimes they're the biggest ones!

What we’re looking for

You don't need years of experience. We're particularly interested in graduates who are:

• Qualified in Occupational Therapy or graduating this year
• Passionate about working with children
• Patient, understanding and approachable
• Creative when it comes to problem-solving
• Confident working as part of a wider team
• Keen to learn and develop their skills within a school environment

Previous experience with children is a bonus, but it's not essential. Your degree, enthusiasm and willingness to learn are what matter.
