You will need to be a teacher who can remain calm under pressure, think on your feet and understand that sometimes the most effective lesson isn't the one you originally planned!
The role
- Plan and deliver engaging KS3 lessons.
- Adapt lessons to meet different abilities and learning needs.
- Use a range of teaching approaches to maintain engagement.
- Build positive relationships with pupils.
- Establish clear boundaries and expectations.
- Support behaviour and re‑engagement.
- Encourage pupils to develop confidence and independence.
- Work collaboratively with other staff.
The ideal candidate
- Holds
QTS .
- Has KS3 classroom experience.
- Is confident planning and delivering lessons.
- Can adapt their teaching style when needed.
- Is resilient, patient and approachable .
- Has strong classroom management skills.
- Is passionate about supporting young people.
- Understands the importance of consistency and positive relationships.
- Previous
PRU, SEMH or alternative provision experience is a bonus , but we're also interested in teachers from mainstream settings who are ready for a new challenge.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
