Graduate SEND Teaching Assistant – Ferryhill
Have you recently graduated in Psychology, Education, Criminology, Sociology or a related subject?
We're recruiting a Graduate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive PRU in Ferryhill.
You'll work alongside experienced educators to support pupils who require additional academic, emotional and behavioural support.
- Your Responsibilities
- Deliver one-to-one and small-group support
- Help pupils engage positively in lessons
- Support children with SEND, SEMH needs and EHCPs
- Encourage positive behaviour and independence
- Work collaboratively with teachers and pastoral teams
- Celebrate pupil progress and achievements
About You
- Graduate with a genuine interest in education
- Compassionate and approachable
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to build positive relationships with young people
- DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain one
