A specialist PRU in Ferryhill is seeking a Graduate SEND Learning Support Assistant to join its dedicated team. This role is perfect for graduates looking to develop their skills while supporting young people with additional learning and emotional needs.
Your Role
- Support pupils with SEND and SEMH needs
- Deliver one-to-one and small-group interventions
- Assist teachers in creating engaging learning experiences
- Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Help pupils develop confidence and independence
- Contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment
What We're Looking For
- Graduate in any discipline
- Passion for supporting young people
- Positive, empathetic and resilient attitude
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with children is an advantage but not essential
- Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
