Protocol Education is looking for a Graduate Occupational Therapist to join a specialist SEN school in Ferryhill as a Teaching Assistant.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain invaluable experience working alongside experienced teachers and therapists while supporting pupils with a range of additional needs.
You’ll work with children with autism, complex learning needs, communication difficulties, and sensory processing differences, helping them access education in a safe and supportive environment.
Your role will include
- Providing classroom and 1:1 support.
- Supporting pupils with sensory and emotional regulation.
- Assisting with therapy-based activities and interventions.
- Encouraging independence and confidence.
- Recording observations and monitoring progress.
- Working closely with teachers, therapists, and families.
