I am working with a wonderful Hillingdon primary school that is looking for an experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant who can make a genuine difference in Nursery and Reception. This is a warm and supportive school with a hands‑on SENCO and an EYFS team who truly value their support staff. It is the perfect fit for someone who loves Early Years and wants long‑term stability.
About the role:
- Supporting children across Nursery and Reception with play based learning and early routines.
- Offering targeted support for children with SEND including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs and sensory regulation.
- Helping with early phonics, early communication, reading readiness and independence skills.
- Creating a nurturing space where children feel safe, confident and enthusiastic about learning.
- Working closely with the class teacher and EYFS lead to deliver high quality early years provision.
- Supporting emotional regulation, social skills and early behaviour expectations.
What I am looking for:
- Previous EYFS experience in a school setting.
- Familiarity with the EYFS framework and early child development.
- Confidence supporting SEND children particularly ASD, speech and language and sensory needs.
- A warm, patient and proactive approach.
- Someone who genuinely loves Early Years and isn’t afraid to get stuck in.
- Strong relationship building skills with pupils and staff.
