Full‑Time Teaching Assistant – To Start as soon as possible

Position – Full‑time (Monday‑Friday)

We’re working with welcoming and inclusive primary schools and nurseries in Hackney who are looking for a caring and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to support their youngest learners. You’ll work closely with the class teacher to create a safe, engaging environment where children can explore, play, and build the foundations for lifelong learning. If you’re nurturing, energetic, and enjoy getting stuck into creative, hands‑on activities, this could be a brilliant opportunity to step into a truly rewarding role.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting children in Nursery or Reception with daily classroom routines and activities
- Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging, play‑based learning
- Helping children develop early skills in communication, phonics, numbers, and social interaction
- Working with small groups or individual children to support their learning and confidence
- Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting children with emotional development
- Helping create a warm, stimulating environment where every child feels safe, valued, and ready to learn
What we’re looking for:

- Patient, caring, and naturally nurturing
- Proactive and happy to get involved in creative and practical classroom activities
- A confident communicator who can build positive relationships with children and staff
- Adaptable and able to support a busy, energetic Early Years classroom
Experience in an EYFS setting is helpful, but a genuine interest in supporting children at this important stage of development is just as valuable.
