About the Role
Protocol Education is seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to support children with a range of special educational needs across our partner schools. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of young learners.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN (e.g., ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, SLD).
- Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities.
- Support pupils with emotional regulation, communication, and social development.
- Implement EHCP targets and behaviour support strategies.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school or care setting).
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- Relevant training (e.g., Team Teach, Autism Awareness, Safeguarding) is desirable but not essential.
