We are currently seeking a caring and committed EYFS SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Colchester from September. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young children with additional needs at a vital stage in their development.
The Role
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for children in EYFS with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and social communication difficulties.
- Support children’s learning, communication, and emotional regulation through play-based and structured activities.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement EHCPs and personalised support strategies.
- Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment that encourages confidence and independence.
- Support children with routines, transitions, and engagement in learning.

- Has experience supporting children with SEND in EYFS or early years.
- Is patient, nurturing, and calm, with a strong understanding of child development.
