Overview Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Colchester Start Date: ASAP Location: Colchester Contract: Full-time / Term-time (flexible depending on candidate) We are seeking a strong, experienced Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream school in Colchester as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional with a passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN Work closely with class teachers to deliver tailored learning strategies Support students with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties Help create an inclusive, positive, and engaging learning environment Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to staff Requirements Proven experience working with SEN pupils in a mainstream school setting Strong behaviour management skills A patient, resilient, and proactive approach Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff Relevant qualifications or training in SEN (desirable but not essential) What We Offer Supportive and collaborative school environment Opportunities for professional development Competitive pay based on experience If you are an experienced LSA ready to make an immediate impact, we would love to hear from you.
