About Role: Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) and making a real difference in their school experience and development? Protocol Education are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Ealing, London and is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment where every child is encouraged to thrive.
The role:
- Support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and speech & language difficulties.
- Work 1:1 with students who require additional support.
- Demonstrate a proactive and empathetic approach to supporting SEN students.
- Reflect on and improve your practice through self-evaluation and CPD.
Candidate specification:
- Experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting.
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach toward the children.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
All applicants must be willing to undergo vetting checks as part of the school’s commitment to Safeguarding and Anti-bullying. This will include:
- Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through us).
- Two recent references (covering the past 24 months of employments).
- Overseas Police Check (if applicable – for candidates who have lived outside the UK for 3+ months in the past 5 years).
