We are seeking to appoint a passionate and committed Design Technology Teacher to join a collaborative and well-established DT department on a full-time, permanent basis. This role would suit both early career teachers and experienced practitioners who are enthusiastic about their subject and motivated to inspire young people with practical, creative and technical skills that prepare them for future success. You will be part of a supportive team that values high-quality teaching, strong outcomes and a shared commitment to continuous improvement.
The Design Technology department is based in a dedicated specialist building, fully equipped to support a wide range of DT specialisms. The team includes subject specialists and technicians who work closely together to design and deliver an ambitious curriculum from Key Stage 3 through to Key Stage 5, with a strong record of achievement. The curriculum includes Product Design, Engineering, Textiles and Food. Experience or subject knowledge in Product Design and/or Engineering would be advantageous, particularly at Key Stage 4 and post-16, although training and development opportunities are available for the right candidate.
