We are seeking a motivated and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dedicated team and help deliver high-quality learning experiences across the school.

The Role

This is an exciting temporary-to-permanent opportunity for an experienced HLTA looking to make a lasting impact within a supportive primary school environment. As our HLTA, you will work closely with teachers and senior leaders to support teaching and learning throughout the school. You will play a key role in raising pupil achievement, delivering interventions, and occasionally leading whole-class learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and delivery of engaging lessons across the primary age range.
  • Lead learning activities and supervise whole classes when required.
  • Deliver targeted interventions for individuals and small groups.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers.
  • Support pupils with a range of learning needs, including SEND.
  • Help create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and school events.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. The pay rate quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and subscribe to the DBS Update Service. We offer online safeguarding and Prevent Duty training to all our workers.
