Protocol Education is a leading education recruitment agency working with secondary schools across Sheffield. We are looking for confident, enthusiastic, and motivated individuals who are keen to gain valuable classroom experience while making a real difference to young people's education.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will step into the classroom when a teacher is absent, delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring students remain engaged with their learning. While you won't be required to plan lessons or undertake full teaching responsibilities, you will play a vital role in maintaining a positive learning environment and supporting student progress.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials to classes across a range of subjects.




• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a productive learning environment.




• Support students in completing set work and understanding instructions.




• Encourage participation, engagement, and positive attitudes towards learning.




• Monitor student welfare and ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.




• Promote inclusion and equal opportunities for all learners.




• Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding lesson progress and student engagement.

• Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
