We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join the team.

Job

Description: As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting children with autism, ADHD, and physical disabilities.

Your primary responsibilities will include

  • Assisting in the educational and social development of students.
  • Providing one-on-one support to children with special educational needs.
  • Collaborating with teachers and other staff members to create a positive learning environment.
  • Implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting teaching materials to meet the needs of each student.
  • Supporting students in developing social skills and managing their behavior.
  • Helping with personal care tasks as needed.

  • Excellent communication skills.

Experience

  • Previous experience working with children with autism is essential. This can include personal experience.
  • Experience in a school or nursery setting is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification desired.
  • Nursery Nurse qualification is also preferred.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
