Protocol Education are looking for teaching assistants from creative backgrounds such as acting, drama, and musical backgrounds to work in our primary schools in Croydon. As a teaching assistant, you will work both one-to-one and within a class supporting both your peers and students in a positive and engaging environment. Successful candidates will encourage students' development, engage through sensory play & interaction, understand social cues & skills, and teach independent living with students that have a diagnosis of special needs such as autism, speech and language difficulties, severe learning disabilities, and physical disabilities. These particular schools are looking for teaching assistants that can apply their creative skills within early years and primary settings and maintain an engaged and fulfilling learning experience.

Main Duties:

  • Engaging students through interactive and creative activities
  • Helping with sensory integration within the classroom
  • Working with the teacher to assess pupils' levels and ability
  • Ensuring the school's ethos and policies are being implemented
  • Liaising with parents and carers

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. This advert is for a temporary position.
