Protocol Education is supporting secondary schools across Middlesbrough to recruit Cover Teachers to provide high-quality classroom support across KS3, KS4, and KS5. This role is ideal for qualified teachers, ECTs, and experienced cover supervisors or teaching assistants looking to step into teaching roles.
The Role:
- Provide cover for absent teachers across all subjects and year groups.
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons or adapt plans to meet the needs of students.
- Maintain a positive learning environment and strong behaviour management.
- Support students’ learning and engagement during teacher absences.
- Ensure classroom routines and expectations are upheld.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds QTS or has significant classroom experience.
- Confident working across KS3–KS5.
- Adaptable, reliable, and proactive.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply).
