We’re working with brilliant secondary schools in Wakefield that are looking for confident, dependable Cover Supervisors to join their teams long-term. It’s a rewarding role where you’ll develop classroom skills, build strong relationships, and make a real difference to students’ day-to-day learning.
What you’ll be doing:
- Delivering pre-set lessons across a range of subjects; if you have a specialist subject, this will be prioritised.
- Creating a calm, purposeful learning environment.
- Managing behaviour in line with school policy.
- Supporting students to stay focused and engaged.
- Feeding back to teaching staff at the end of each day.

- Experience working with young people, in or outside of school.
- A confident, approachable style with strong classroom presence.
- Good communication and behaviour management skills.
- A flexible, proactive attitude and genuine interest in education.
