Protocol Education is working with secondary schools across Middlesbrough to recruit a Computer Science Teacher to deliver engaging and high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4. This role is suitable for QTS-qualified teachers, ECTs, and experienced cover supervisors or teaching assistants with strong Computer Science subject knowledge.
The Role
- Deliver engaging and well-structured Computer Science lessons, including programming, algorithms, and computational thinking.
- Provide effective classroom cover when required.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students.
- Maintain strong behaviour management and a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Support students in developing coding skills, problem-solving abilities, and digital literacy.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds QTS or has relevant classroom experience in Computer Science (teachers, cover supervisors, or TA cover).
- Confident teaching Computer Science across KS3–KS4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential).
- Strong subject knowledge in areas such as programming, data, and systems.
- Reliable, adaptable, and proactive.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply).
