Protocol Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Colchester who are seeking a dedicated Year 2 Teacher for a long‑term supply role beginning in September. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate teacher to join a friendly school community and make a real impact.
The Role:
- Full teaching responsibility for a Year 2 class
- Planning, delivering and assessing engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (Year 2 experience desirable)
- Strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills
- Enthusiastic, adaptable and committed to pupil progress
This role would suit an ECT or experienced teacher looking for a long‑term position in Colchester from September. All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
