This role offers consistency, full teaching responsibility and the opportunity to become an integral part of a supportive school team.
The Role
- Full classroom teaching responsibilities for the duration of the maternity cover
- Planning, delivering and assessing lessons in line with the National Curriculum
- Supporting pupils of varying abilities within an inclusive learning environment
- Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, SEN staff and senior leaders
The Ideal Candidate Will
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have recent experience teaching in a UK primary school
- Be confident with classroom management and routines
- Be inclusive, nurturing and committed to pupil progress

This role is suitable for an ECT or experienced teacher looking for a long‑term opportunity in a supportive and inclusive Chelmsford primary school from September. All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
