Learning Support Assistant (1:1 SEN Support – KS2)
Location: Rural Colchester (Driver required)
Hours: Full-Time, Term Time Only

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a KS2 pupil in a warm, welcoming and inclusive primary school in rural Colchester. Due to the school’s location, a driver with access to a car is essential.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support a child within a nurturing mainstream classroom, helping them stay engaged, build confidence and achieve their full potential.
The Role
- Provide consistent 1:1 support for a KS2 pupil with additional learning needs
- Support the child’s learning, engagement and emotional wellbeing
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to follow the pupil’s support plan
- Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and independence
- Contribute to a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school setting
- Patient, reliable and able to build positive relationships with pupils
- Confident supporting learning within a mainstream KS2 classroom
- Driver with access to a car due to the rural location
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s development
