About the school
The school provides a calm, structured and nurturing environment for pupils from Key Stage 2 through to post-16. The role
As the school’s Clinical Psychologist, you’ll play a key role in shaping the emotional and behavioural development of pupils. You’ll assess psychological needs and deliver tailored, evidence-based interventions to support pupils’ wellbeing, resilience and independence. Working collaboratively with education, pastoral and clinical colleagues, you’ll help embed Positive Behaviour Support approaches across the school, ensuring consistency and compassion in everyday practice.
- Work directly with pupils through one-to-one and group interventions
- Provide consultation, guidance and training to staff
- Support families to better understand and meet their child’s needs
- Contribute to whole-school approaches around behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Supervise Assistant Psychologists where required
- Be an active part of a supportive, multi-disciplinary team

What we’re looking for
We’re keen to hear from psychologists who are passionate about working in specialist education and SEN settings. You’ll need:
- HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist
- A postgraduate qualification in Psychology
- Experience supporting children or young people with autism and complex needs
- Experience working within educational, care or clinical settings
- Confidence working within a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience supervising Assistant Psychologists
- A commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development
