Supporting staff. Ensuring excellence. Real impact. Protocol Education is working with a well-regarded school in NW3 to recruit an experienced School HR Officer on a part-time basis. You will work three days per week, with flexibility around which days to suit your schedule. This is a hands-on role for someone confident in employee relations, HR compliance, and working with senior leaders to ensure smooth HR operations across the school.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing employee relations cases, including grievances, disciplinary matters, and sickness absence
- Supporting recruitment activity and onboarding new staff
- Ensuring HR policies are followed and kept up to date
- Overseeing visa sponsorship and right-to-work compliance
- Managing and supporting the appraisal cycle
- Assisting with wider HR duties during quieter periods
- Acting as a trusted point of contact for staff and leadership
You’ll need:
- Experience above HR Administrator or Assistant level, ideally in a school or similar setting
- Strong knowledge of employee relations and HR best practice
- Confidence working with senior leaders and staff
- A calm, professional, and practical approach
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
