This Academy is looking for a friendly, reliable Catering Assistant to support our in-house catering team and help deliver great food and service to our students and staff every day. This is a hands-on, rewarding role where no two days are quite the same, and where your work genuinely helps shape a positive school experience.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting the Catering Manager and Chef with food preparation and service
- Making sure food hygiene, cleanliness, and portion control are always spot on
- Recording food and storage temperatures in line with food safety standards
- Keeping the kitchen, equipment, and dining areas clean, safe, and organised
- Washing utensils and equipment and following the cleaning rota
- Receiving, storing, and accounting for deliveries and stock
- Serving students and staff, including operating tills
- Helping deliver the Academy’s Magic Breakfast provision
- Supporting themed food days and special events
- Providing friendly, respectful customer service to everyone you meet
You’ll also play a wider role in Academy life by:
- Following safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection policies
- Being a positive role model for students in conduct and presentation
- Taking part in training and development opportunities
- Working constructively with colleagues and supporting Academy priorities
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
