Protocol Education is currently recruiting teaching assistants to work in a state-of-the-art special needs school in Chigwell, starting in September. This inclusive school offers teaching assistants the chance to work with children of all ages—from early years to secondary—and will provide training throughout the role. No experience is required; commitment, passion and dedication are key attributes.
You will work in small class sizes of 6‑8 students in special needs groups including autism, speech and language difficulties and complex needs. As a teaching assistant you will support students with their set curriculum, develop speech & language skills, teach vocabulary and comprehension through visual resources, support students in core subjects such as numeracy and literacy, and assist in creative lessons such as art, music, swimming, cooking, K9 therapy and sensory play.
