Year 1 Teaching Assistant
About the Role
We are looking for a kind, enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our Year 1 team and help create a positive, engaging and supportive learning environment for our children.
You will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils with their learning, development and wellbeing.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with young children and wants to make a real difference to their school experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher with the delivery of engaging lessons and activities.
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils.
- Help children develop their reading, writing and maths skills.
- Encourage positive behaviour and good learning habits.
- Support children with their social and emotional development.
- Prepare classroom resources and learning activities.
- Assist with classroom routines and organisation.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers.
- Promote a safe, inclusive and welcoming classroom environment.
