Full-Time Position
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Chelmsford, working within their Inclusion Hub. This full‑time role focuses on supporting pupils with Autonomy Spectrum Disorder (ASD), helping them to access learning and thrive within a structured and nurturing environment.
The Role:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with ASD
- Work within the school’s Inclusion Hub, supporting tailored learning programmes
- Assist the class teacher and SENCO in delivering personalised learning plans
- Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and social development
- Support pupils in transitioning between the hub and mainstream classrooms where appropriate
Requirements:
- Experience working with SEN, particularly ASD, is highly desirable
- A calm, patient, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Understanding of inclusive practice within a mainstream setting
- Relevant qualifications or training (desirable but not essential)
