Learning Support Assistant (LSA) Mainstream Primary School | Full-Time | Chelmsford | Temp-to-Perm Opportunity

Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant with a passion for supporting children with additional needs? We are working with a welcoming mainstream primary school in Chelmsford seeking a dedicated full-time LSA to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with SEN experience who is looking to secure a permanent role within a supportive school environment.

About the role

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with special educational needs
  • Supporting children with EHCPs, helping them access the curriculum
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
  • Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
  • Encouraging pupils’ confidence, independence, and social development

What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN (essential)
  • Experience within a primary school setting
  • A patient, caring, and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Someone committed to progressing into a permanent role
