We are seeking a caring and experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to provide 1:1 support within EYFS for a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a welcoming Chelmsford setting. This role is ideal for someone patient, nurturing, and passionate about supporting early development.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a child in the Early Years Foundation Stage
- Assist with learning, play, and social development
- Implement individual learning plans and strategies
- Support communication, emotional regulation, and engagement
- Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and parents
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment
Requirements
- Previous SEN experience (essential)
- Experience working within EYFS (essential)
- Knowledge of additional needs such as ASD, speech & language, or behavioural needs (desirable)
- Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Relevant childcare or support qualification (desirable but not essential)
