Overview
An inclusive and well-regarded SEN school in Harrow is seeking a Care Assistant to support pupils with a range of complex needs, including autism, physical disabilities, and profound learning difficulties.
What We’re Looking For
- A caring, patient and proactive individual with a genuine interest in SEN education.
- Willingness to assist with personal care and mobility support.
- Experience in an educational or care setting is desirable, but full training is provided.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils in the classroom to access learning and participate in activities.
- Assisting with personal care routines, including toileting, feeding and hygiene.
- Encouraging communication, social interaction and independence.
- Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to meet pupils’ academic and care needs.
This role is essential to the educational progress and daily wellbeing of our pupils. You’ll work closely with teachers and therapists to support learning, provide personal care and help create a safe, nurturing classroom environment where every child can excel.
