We’re looking for a talented Teacher of Design & Technology, specialising in Product Design and Resistant Materials, with the spark to launch a new subject area and bring fresh ideas to life. You’ll lead the way in establishing a new DT lab and curriculum, teaching across KS3–KS5 and playing a key part in shaping a forward‑thinking, hands‑on learning environment. From 3D printing and laser cutting to textiles and design theory, this is your opportunity to fuse technical know‑how with real creative flair. You’ll teach across two vibrant central London sites and will join a passionate creative team that includes Art, Textiles, and Design Technology.
Responsibilities
- Establish a new DT lab and curriculum.
- Teach across KS3–KS5.
- Incorporate industry‑standard equipment and practical learning.
- Collaborate with the creative team across Art, Textiles, and Design Technology.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Strong subject knowledge and classroom experience in Product Design and Resistant Materials (KS5).
- Ability to teach Art at KS3‑4 and openness to expand into Textiles or DT at KS4.
- Current appropriate qualifications and training for the role.
- Enhanced DBS check and ongoing DBS Update Service subscription.
- Safeguarding and Prevent Duty training (provided).
Employment Terms
Temporary position with possibility of becoming permanent in the future. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
