Protocol Education is recruiting a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school in Haringey. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled HLTA who is passionate about supporting pupils to achieve their full potential and is ready to take on additional classroom responsibilities across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

The successful candidate will work across KS1 and KS2, providing high-quality classroom support, delivering planned lessons during Teacher release time and leading small group and intervention sessions. The role includes:

  • Delivering pre-planned lessons across KS1 and KS2
  • Supporting pupils in whole class, small group and one-to-one settings
  • Leading targeted interventions to raise attainment
  • Supporting pupils with SEND where required
  • Working closely with Teachers and the senior leadership team
  • Helping to create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment

The successful candidate will have:

  • HLTA status or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience working in a UK primary school
  • Strong knowledge of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum
  • Excellent behaviour management skills
  • Confidence leading whole class learning
  • A positive, flexible and proactive approach
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
