We're looking for an Arabic-speaking SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Orpington. This is a full-time, Monday to Friday role during school hours, so we're looking for someone who can commit to 5 days a week.
You’ll provide dedicated 1:1 support to a secondary-aged student with SEND, helping them access learning, build confidence, develop independence and feel supported throughout the school day. Your Arabic language skills will also help the student communicate confidently and, where appropriate, support communication with their family.
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Speak fluent Arabic and English
- Are available full-time, Monday to Friday
- Have experience supporting children or young people with SEND, SEMH or additional needs, or have relevant transferable experience
- Are calm, patient, resilient and empathetic
- Can build positive relationships and support a young person to thrive
- Can travel to Orpington and start in September 2026
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
