Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in Bristol schools? Protocol Education is currently recruiting passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants and SEN Teaching Assistants to join our network of welcoming schools across Bristol.

We are looking for candidates who are passionate about supporting children and young people and want to make a positive impact on their learning, confidence, and development. Whether your experience is within Primary, Secondary, or Special Educational Needs (SEN) settings, we have a variety of opportunities available, including flexible supply work, long-term placements, and roles that could lead to permanent positions.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils across Primary, Secondary, and SEN settings
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students
  • Assist teachers with classroom activities, lesson preparation, and learning tasks
  • Support pupils with additional needs, including Autism, SEMH, communication difficulties, and complex needs
  • Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, independence, and engagement
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have experience working with children or young people (school, childcare, or support experience)
  • Have experience supporting pupils with SEN or a willingness to develop within SEND settings
  • Have strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Are patient, reliable, adaptable, and passionate about education
  • Have a minimum of 6 months’ experience in a relevant support role (desirable)
