We're looking for a caring, patient and committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Bristol. You'll be supporting one child to access learning, build confidence and enjoy school life, while becoming part of a team that believes every child deserves the chance to thrive. This is a school where children are encouraged to be curious, kind and ambitious. Learning goes beyond the classroom, with a strong focus on character development, creativity, inclusion and helping pupils become confident, lifelong learners. Staff work together to create a happy, nurturing environment where every child is known, valued and encouraged to reach their full potential.

What you'll be doing:

  • Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with additional learning needs
  • Helping deliver personalised learning activities and strategies
  • Building positive relationships that encourage confidence, independence and progress
  • Working closely with teachers, SEND professionals and families to provide consistent support
  • Creating a calm, safe and engaging environment where every day brings new opportunities to learn

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children, particularly those with Special Educational Needs
  • Is calm, patient and genuinely enjoys helping children succeed
  • Communicates well and works positively as part of a team
  • Can adapt their approach to meet the individual needs of the child
  • Holds relevant qualifications or training in education or SEND, although this isn't essential if you have the right experience and attitude
