Experienced in SEND? We want to hear from you. We're working with a fantastic specialist SEND school looking for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join their team this September. The school supports children and young people with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and complex needs. They're looking for someone who understands the importance of patience, consistency and building meaningful relationships with pupils who need extra support to thrive.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Helping children access learning and engage in the classroom
  • Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
  • Working alongside teachers, therapists and SEND professionals
  • Adapting learning activities to meet individual needs
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and social development

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience working within a SEND school or specialist setting
  • Experience supporting children with additional needs
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
  • A patient, resilient and proactive approach
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people
  • Experience supporting pupils with Autism, SEMH, complex needs, or communication difficulties would be particularly beneficial
