Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Secondary SEN Teacher to join our team in BS4.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with a range of SEN, including autism spectrum disorders, dyslexia, and other learning difficulties.

You will be responsible for creating and implementing individualized education plans , adapting the curriculum, and providing a supportive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver tailored lesson plans and learning activities for SEN students.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate with other teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for students.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and IEPs.
  • Provide support and guidance to students in their personal and social development.
  • Promote an inclusive classroom culture that respects and values diversity.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with secondary-aged students with special educational needs.
  • Strong understanding of SEN and relevant educational legislation.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with staff, students, and parents.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
