About the Opportunity
Protocol Education is working with a wide range of schools throughout Bristol and we are seeking passionate and dedicated Maths Teachers. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire young minds and share your love for Maths in vibrant and supportive school communities.
The Role
As a Maths Teacher, you will deliver engaging and high-quality lessons to students aged 11-16 (and potentially 16-18 for A-Level). You will contribute to students' academic and personal growth while upholding each school’s values and ethos.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver dynamic Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement.
- Manage classroom behaviour to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop schemes of work and share best practices.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities, such as literacy clubs or school productions.
About You
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with a strong passion for Maths and education. The following qualifications and attributes are sought:
Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT) status is preferred. Schools will also consider strong subject specialists with a relevant degree in Maths or a related field, even if unqualified.
Experience: Experience teaching Maths at secondary level is desirable but not essential for ECTs or unqualified teachers.
Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
Attributes: Creative, adaptable, and committed to fostering a love of learning in students.
Desirable: Knowledge of GCSE and A-Level English curricula and assessment frameworks.
