We work closely with welcoming, vibrant primary schools across Bristol who are keen to work with multilingual support staff to help children feel confident, included and ready to learn. Many of our schools support pupils who speak English as an additional language (EAL), and they truly value staff who can bridge language gaps, build trust and help children feel understood. Your language skills can make a real difference, whether that’s supporting learning in lessons, helping pupils settle into school life, or strengthening communication with families from a wide range of backgrounds. What Do We Need to Get You Cleared?

  • Passport
  • Two proofs of address, for example a driving licence, utility bill, council tax letter, P45 or P60
  • CV covering the last 10 years of work or education, with any gaps explained
  • Two years of references, including childcare or community work if applicable
  • DBS check, we’ll support you with this if needed
  • Overseas Police Check, if you’ve lived abroad for more than three months in the last five years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date. Protocol Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’, this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.
