We’re working with friendly and welcoming primary schools across Bristol who are looking for brilliant multilingual Teaching Assistants to support pupils in the classroom, especially children who speak English as an Additional Language (EAL). For many children, hearing their home language or having someone who understands their culture can completely change how they feel at school. It helps them settle quicker, join in with learning, and feel safe, seen, and included.

That’s where you come in. Whether you speak Arabic, Polish, Somali, Urdu, Romanian, Spanish, Portuguese, Punjabi, Bengali, or any other language, your skills could make a real difference every single day.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting children in lessons across KS1 and KS2
  • Helping pupils build confidence with English and classroom routines
  • Working 1:1 or with small groups
  • Encouraging children socially and emotionally
  • Supporting communication between school and families
  • Being a friendly, calm presence in the classroom

You don’t need years of experience, just the right attitude, a caring nature, and a genuine interest in supporting young people.
