Protocol Education is working with secondary schools across Bristol and surrounding areas to offer graduates paid roles as Unqualified Teachers and Cover Supervisors. It’s a great way to gain real classroom experience, build confidence, and see if education is the right path for you. No QTS required. No prior teaching experience needed. We provide free training and ongoing support so you feel prepared from day one.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supervise pre-set lessons when teachers are absent
  • Keep students focused, calm, and on task
  • Manage classroom behaviour confidently and fairly
  • Support students to complete their work
  • Feedback to teaching staff at the end of the day
  • Follow safeguarding procedures at all times

You’ll work across different subjects and year groups, giving you broad, valuable experience in secondary schools.

The details

  • Pay: £100–£150 per day (depending on experience)
  • Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
  • Contract: Full-time or part-time
  • Start date: Flexible
  • Location: Bristol & surrounding areas
