We're working with specialist SEMH settings looking for an English Teacher who can bring creativity, patience, and a sense of humour to the classroom. You'll be teaching pupils who may have faced challenges in mainstream education and helping them develop both academically and personally. No two days look the same, but that's what makes this role so rewarding.
What you'll be doing:
- Delivering engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Building positive relationships with pupils who thrive on consistency and encouragement
- Supporting students working towards GCSEs and other qualifications
- Working closely with support staff, therapists, and senior leaders
- Adapting lessons to meet a range of learning, emotional, and behavioural needs
We're looking for someone who:
- Holds QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Has experience teaching English in secondary settings
- Understands SEMH needs or is keen to develop experience in alternative provision
- Can stay calm under pressure and build strong relationships
