The predicted salary is between 14 - 15 £ per hour.

We work closely with exciting, vibrant primary schools across Bristol who are looking for enthusiastic classroom support staff to help children feel confident, included, and ready to learn. Many of our pupils speak English as an additional language (EAL), so if you happen to speak another language, that’s a lovely bonus—but not essential.

Your main role will be supporting learning in lessons, helping children settle into school life, and contributing to a positive, structured classroom environment, beginning after Easter holidays. This is a rewarding opportunity for anyone who enjoys working with young learners, believes in inclusion, and wants to make a meaningful difference in school every day.

Pay: £14.25- £15 per hour, paid weekly

A Bit About You

  • Experience supporting children in Key Stage 1, helping with lessons, activities, and classroom routines
  • Confident supporting children across early literacy, numeracy, SEMH, ADHD, or other learning challenges
  • Calm, patient, and emotionally intelligent in your approach
  • Skilled in adapting tasks, supporting personalised learning plans, and helping children thrive in the classroom
  • Bonus: ability to speak another language to support children who speak English as an additional language
  • Committed to creating safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environments where young learners can flourish

What We Need to Get You Started

  • A valid passport
  • Two proofs of address, such as a driving licence, utility bill, or council tax letter
  • An up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years of work or education, with any gaps explained
  • Two years of references, including your most recent school
  • An overseas police check if you’ve lived abroad for three months or more in the last five years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
