We're working with a welcoming secondary school in Bradford that is looking for a Science Technician to join their team for the full academic year starting October 2026. You'll be part of a supportive Science department where curiosity is encouraged, resources are valued, and staff work together to create an engaging learning environment.

Whether you're an experienced Science Technician or someone with a strong scientific background looking to move into education, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact behind the scenes and in the classroom.

What you'll be doing:

  • Preparing materials, equipment, and resources for Science lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
  • Supporting teachers and students during practical experiments and investigations
  • Maintaining laboratories, equipment, and preparation areas
  • Managing stock levels and ordering scientific equipment and consumables when required
  • Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed within the department
  • Preparing solutions, setting up practical activities, and safely disposing of chemicals and materials
  • Assisting with science enrichment activities, STEM events, and school projects

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience working in a Science Technician role or a strong background in Science
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confidence preparing and maintaining scientific equipment, materials, and laboratory resources
  • Knowledge of laboratory health and safety procedures
  • A proactive and flexible approach to supporting the department
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • A genuine passion for science and education
